Brainerd Area - Brainerd, Minnesota

Minnesota tourism in the Brainerd area is just about the most enticing it can be with the lakes surrounding the entire area. With over 10,000 lakes in Minnesota (and I truly believe there are more than that) you can find activities to keep you busy all year round. When you are in Pine River, Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, Nisswa, Crosby, Deerwood, Lake Shore, Merrifield, Pillager, Baxter or Brainerd you will find people willing to help direct you to “the best place to catch the big ones” or just to suggest the best restaurant in the area.
When you have had enough sun and fishing for a couple of days you may want to take a ride on the Mississippi Belle paddle-wheel boat and enjoy the scenery. Following that you can always go for speed and noise at the Brainerd International Raceway as the cars roar around the track.
But the best is the fishing. The lakes have trout, walleye, sunny’s and a whole array of other delectable choices for you to catch and eat. There really isn’t much better than fresh fish for dinner, right out of the lake, cleaned and into the frying pan.
